Hey everyone, this is March. We are about to depart in a week, wow! I can’t wait to meet everyone at the airport. Again, I must say PACK LIGHT! Make sure you don’t bring anything you don’t need. I have led 5 trips to China and my co-leader has spent almost all of her life in China. We are extremely confident in the fact that our trip will be nothing but a total success. With that said, I have never been on a trip where everything went according to plan. On our program, you will learn the true meaning of flexibility. And have a lot of fun! Hello, I am Amy and I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you! I am flying to China on Friday to work on trip set up. So I'll be at the airport to pick you up when you arrive! Sebastian, I will be picking you up first! Please look for a girl in a gray Windsor Mountain T-shirt. My picture is also posted on this blog. March Yi Peng Wang
March is a middle school teacher who works at the Confucius Institute at Coan Middle School in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently, he is teaching sixth and seventh grade Chinese and eighth grade Math. March spent the first 12 years of his life living in Beijing, China, then he moved to the United States, first living in San Francisco, then Atlanta. March loves to travel. He has been to North Korea, Burma, Australia, Argentina, Japan, Taiwan, Tibet, Mongolia, all over Europe, Southeast Asia, and North America. He has big plans to visit South Africa in 2010 for the World Cup! March graduated from Emory University with degrees in Philosophy and Chinese studies. His favorite TV show is When Animals Attack II. His favorite book (at the moment) is Survival of the Sickest. March’s favorite musician is Jay Chow. March is fluent in Chinese and English. His dream is to translate the essence of Chinese literary classics into English and other languages. His goal in life is to bring happiness to his family and friends. March really loves eating sashimi and hot spicy tofu. March served as the graduate assistant for Emory University CIPA summer studying abroad in China for the past three years. Jia Amy Feng
My name is Jia Amy Feng, but please just call me Amy. I was born and raised in China. In college, I majored in English and specialized in “Teaching Foreigners Chinese”. Next year, I will be working as a Chinese teacher at Maynard Jackson High School in Atlanta, Georgia. The two things I love most in the world are food and travel. I have been to China, Tibet, Hong Kong, Korea, Canada, and the US. I love sushi and Chinese food. I just can’t eat pizza (I know that’s weird). My favorite movies are Face Off and Once Upon a Time in America. My favorite TV show is Friends. I love everything related to Winnie the Pooh. I have a dog and a cat but I’m allergic to both of them! I just got married and guess what? My husband and I were born on the exact same day.
